Dans les ruelles pavées de Saint-Germain-des-Prés s'épanouissent de nombreuses galeries. Principalement d'art contemporain, de photographie ou d'objets antiques. Toutefois, dans ce bouquet de genres hétéroclites, s'est glissé un lieu atypique dédié au street art : le Loft du 34.
Au fond d'une cour, cachée dans la rue du Dragon, ce dernier a fleuri à l'orée de l'année 2016. Née de l'envie de Sylvie et Laurent un couple de collectionneur, audacieux et passionné d'art urbain, la jeune galerie est aujourd'hui devenue un point de rendez-vous incontournable dans le milieu. Grâce à son décor brut d'appartement reconverti en espace d'exposition de 160 m2, ses poutres apparentes, ses baies vitrées et ses murs en pierre nus courant sur deux étages. Mais surtout grâce à des shows, solos ou collectifs, faisant appel aux talents de virtuoses naissants ou confirmés, locaux ou internationaux. Astro, DXTR, Alber, Marko 93 ou encore les toulousains Mondé et Réso ont ainsi côtoyé leur relève comme Shane, Maite Sant, Stom500 et les Américains Hoxxoh et Sen2.
Ce qui fait cependant la véritable originalité du Loft du 34, ce sont les créations inédites qui accompagnent ses rétrospectives. Des toiles phosphorescentes, des supports diversifiés et des sculptures en bois, un trompe l'oeil gigantesque occupant l'entrée pour l'événement 'Immersion', un studio recouvert de graffitis du sol au plafond pour 'Home Staging', et même un photocall en ombres chinoises pour 'Dark Sign'... Plus qu'une galerie, le Loft du 34 est le temple d'une imagination débridée, voire illimitée. Sans oublier la chaleur humaine qui se dégage de l'endroit, sur lequel le fils des fondateurs, Alex, veille désormais avec maestria. Bien loin de la froideur habituelle des "white cubes" parisiens.

However, what makes the true originality of the Loft of the 34 are the unique creations accompanying its retrospectives. Phosphorescent canvases, diversified supports and wooden sculptures, a gigantic trompe l'oeil occupying all the entrance for the 'Immersion' event, a studio floor-to-ceiling covered with graffiti for 'Home Staging', and even a silhouetted photocall for 'Dark Sign' ... More than a gallery, the Loft of 34 is the shrine of an unbridled imagination, almost unlimited. Not to mention the human warmth that emanates from the place, on which the son of the founders, Alex, now looks after with mastery. Far from the usual coldness of Parisian "white cubes".
